Survivor Experience Program at YMCA Camping
Survivor Experience
This experience has been specially designed for older students to pit their skills against each other, a modified program can be run for younger students.
The students work in tribes and use all their skills to earn points to win the final survivor award.
At main meals the leading tribe is presented the "ISA". They sit at the head table with the "ISA" trophy on show to display their achievement to all. They are waited on by the losing tribe and are exempt from all duties. Any disputes are settled with a tribal challenge at main meal breaks.
YMCA staff facilitate the activities, while teachers/supervisors are the tribal elders. They score the tribes on their teamwork for all activities.
Minimum of 2 tribes (40 students) is required to run this program.
