VACATION CAMPS

Y.The YMCA has a commitment to Safeguarding Children and Young People

For  Primary School Children

Grades 1 - 7

CAMP HOURS

Childcare:      7.00 am – 6.00 pm

Activities:       8.30 am – 5.00 pm

PARENT/CAMPER INFORMATION

We are a sun safe camp. All campers need to wear a hat, use 30+ sunscreen and have shirts with sleeves every camp.

·      Campers need to be signed in on arrival and signed out on departure from camp.

·      The camp need written permission to allow anyone different form the person who drops off your child, to pick up your child.

·   If you wish to contact your child at camp ring between 6.00 -6.30 pm  .  Phone  38821436

·   A “banking system” will operate at camp.  All money and valuables are locked in the office for safe keeping and are given to campers at lunch time every day.

·    Please send money in a wallet or  envelope with your child’s name clearly marked.

·       $12.50 maximum loose change recommended. ($1 & $2 coins) for drink vending machine

·       Label clearly all of your child's   belongings

·       The YMCA accepts no responsibility for goods lost or stolen.

·       Please advise the camp ASAP of any changes to your plans e.g. change of days, non attendance.

·       Lost property will be held for one month after the end of the camp.

·       In the case of unacceptable behavior campers will be sent home without reimbursement.

·      Fees will still be charged if your child chooses to go home at night after attending camp through the day..

·       Please advise camp staff of any special need or  requirement for your child prior to camp so leaders can familiarise themselves with your childs needs before camp..

·      No confirmation of your booking is sent out but if you wish to confirm please contact the camp

·      The YMCA accept no responsibility for goods lost or stolen.

·      Our staffing services are in accordance with regulation requirements. A ratio of 1 adult : 15 campers

Please label all belongings Old clothes are recommended

Lost property will be held for one month after the end of the camp.

Please Note

·      Camp Warrawee is a large open area unlike most school Vacation Care venues

·      Due to the outdoor adventure activities offered, campers MUST have completed a minimum of 1 term of Grade 1 before they will be acceptedf at this vacation care program (Grade 1 not Prep)

·      Campers need to be brought to and picked up from camp

·      Please advise non attendance by 8.00 or full fees will be charged.

·      Campers must be collected by 6.00pm or late fees will be charged.

·    Campers are placed in groups according to their age. If you wish your child to be with an older/younger child they will be placed in the younger group.

·    All campers have the opportunity to participate in one adventure activity each day.

·    Camp programs are designed to cater for the weather, camper's ages and interests.

Day Activities could include:

Low Ropes, Basketball, Canoeing , Raft Building, Indoor Climbing, High Ropes

Archery, Flying Fox, Bush Golf , Crafts, Oval Sports , Pool activities

Evening Activities could include:

Spotlighting, Music games, Campfire,

Concert, Videos, Indoor Climbing
